Abstract
|

|
Four cases of Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, which were splenectomized, were presented.
The common chief complaints were petechiae, nasal and gingival bleeding, with the duration of six to thirty nine months.
The effects of splenectomy were manifested with the increase of platelets within 24 hours
after operation.
The morphology of megakaryocytes consisted of young immature cells without platelet production before operation changed to mature state with active platelet production after operation.
